Malawi is one of the smallest countries in Central Africa, but with a population of almost 17 million people, it feels like one of the most crowded! It’s known as The Warm Heart of Africa <\/em>and anyone who has visited knows just how true that is!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formerly known as Nyasaland<\/em>, Malawi was familiar territory to the famous explorer, David Livingstone, and many place names in Malawi still hark back to that near-forgotten era when Livingstone worked tirelessly for the liberation of her people from the tyranny of slavery. At Nkhotakota<\/em> on the northern lake shore you can visit the tree under whose shade he sat with local tribal leaders to negotiate the end of that villainous practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, though freed from the yoke of iron, millions in Malawi are still bound by the yoke of sin. What a privilege to carry to them the glorious Gospel of Christ – the only message which can free from the chains of sin!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
