GoodNewsMalawi.com is run by Stephen and Gail Harper for the promotion of the prayerful interest of God’s people in His work in Malawi.
In 2003 Stephen and Gail were commended to the grace of God for full time Christian service by the assembly of Christians at Ebenezer Gospel Hall, Bangor, Northern Ireland.
From August 2003 until June 2011 they made their home in the Zomba area of Malawi, and over the years were engaged in a variety of ministries in the spread of the Gospel. Initially their work was mainly rural, covering a radius of approximately 100Km from their Zomba base, but in later years they were involved in setting up and running a Bookstore ministry located in the city itself.
In 2011 their changing family situation necessitated relocation to N. Ireland, however they still maintain a very active interest in Malawi. Stephen typically visits the country 4 or 5 times each year.
By 2018 it became clear that the work had outgrown one missionary couple and Southern Africa Literature Trust (SALT) was created. The input of ideas and independent scrutiny has laid a solid basis for further expansion of the Gospel literature publication and distribution work.
When not in Malawi Stephen is involved in preaching the Gospel, Gospel literature work and Bible teaching in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
